I was delighted to officially announce the creation of 200 highly skilled jobs at Microsoft Ireland in Sandyford as the company makes key investments in its Irish operations. The investment will allow Microsoft Ireland to better serve its customers across the globe and is a great vote of confidence in its existing staff and operations. As a local Minister, I am committed to ensuring that Dublin Rathdown continues to see growth in jobs and benefits from Ireland’s leadership in the technology sector.

In addition to this, 150 new jobs have been announced at Eurofins in Sandyford.

Ireland has a strong pool of highly skilled workers, a first-class education system, a competitive and transparent taxation regime and a pro-enterprise environment. This announcement shows the progress we are making in our mission to make this country an innovative, digital economy and a global leader for the tech sector. I would like to congratulate and pay tribute to the existing staff and management at Microsoft Ireland who have allowed the company to go from strength to strength here over the last three decades.
